TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to hire Non Clinical Care Support Staff for Day Centre’s throughout the Belfast area for agency work. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of elderly patients, particularly those living with dementia.

As a Care Worker, you will provide vital support to patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care, while promoting their independence and dignity. You will assist in a range of activities, including personal care, mobility support, feeding assistance, and helping patients access transport.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care for elderly patients and those living with dementia, including face washing, assistance with personal hygiene, and feeding.
  • Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them safely to and from transport, and offering support throughout the day.
  • Help with daily activities in the day care setting, promoting a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Support patients in maintaining their independence, dignity, and emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met and the highest standard of care is delivered.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with elderly patients or patients with dementia.
  • Experience assisting with feeding, mobility, and helping patients on and off transport.
  • Experience providing personal care to elderly and dementia patients, including face washing, hygiene assistance, and dressing.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
