TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to hire Band 2 and 3 Healthcare Assistants based in Belfast for agency work. Flexibility is required for shift coverage with a focus on those who can work DAY shifts between the hours of 7am and 8pm.

As a Healthcare Assistant in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in in providing excellent care to patients who require urgent and emergency treatment. You will be responsible for assisting with patient assessments, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining a high standard of care for patients in a variety of urgent situations.

Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate assistance to patients with their daily needs.
- Aid patient’s mobility, ensuring they feel safe and confident.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, report any changes or concerns to the nursing or medical team, and assist in the collection of patient samples (e.g., urine, blood).
- Be a friendly presence, offering emotional support.
- Ensure that the environment is clean, tidy, and safe, and assist with infection control procedures in line with hospital policies.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations, following instructions from senior clinical staff.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
- At least 6 months of recent, relevant experience working within a UK healthcare setting, ideally in an emergency department or acute care setting.
- Evidence of full immunity to Hepatitis B, MMR, Tuberculosis & Varicella.
- Right to work in Northern Ireland without restriction. Unfortunately we cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
