We have an urgent need for Band 3 HCA’s, particularly those that specialise in Mental Health, in the Grangewood Hospital. Employed through TTM Healthcare, a Tier 1 provider, you will assume a crucial role in delivering compassionate care tailored to our patients’ specific needs. We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 12 months of experience in acute mental health care settings, particularly those inclined towards morning or day shifts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Clinical Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced clinical skills pertinent to mental health care, encompassing the observation of mental health indicators, facilitating therapeutic interventions under supervision, and assisting in managing complex patient care scenarios.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are paramount. Band 3 Healthcare Assistants specializing in Mental Health should adeptly collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to ensure holistic and empathetic care delivery.
- Autonomy: Exhibit a high level of autonomy in executing assigned duties and responsibilities, showcasing the capability to make informed decisions within the parameters of the role, particularly in mental health crisis situations.
- Adaptability: Possess flexibility and responsiveness to the evolving needs of mental health patients and the healthcare team. The ability to adeptly navigate various clinical circumstances in mental health settings is essential.
- Teamwork: Foster seamless collaboration within the mental health care team, cultivating a supportive and inclusive work environment. Band 3 Healthcare Assistants specializing in Mental Health actively contribute to the team’s overall success through effective communication and cooperation.

Requirements – To be eligible for this role you must have:
- 6 months experience in a healthcare environment
- Right to work in Northern Ireland be available for day shifts
- Valid inoculations (MMR, Hep B & Varicella)
- 12 months experience in an acute mental health setting
